Umar Batchelor
Hi…I am the newest member of the community. Professionally, I am a chartered accountant at Humdinger Accountants (humdingers.com.au). At Humdinger, in addition to general accounting and tax work, we aim to help our clients to improve and grow their business. Try us!!

Over the last 12 years, I gained valuable entrepreneurial skills by starting a software development company called Pi-Cube, increased my technical knowledge by joining the bureaucratic Tax Office, and found the value of our society by contributing to various community projects.

I have the passion to develop young Muslims to become contributors of our society. As I believe individuals are the most important driver for a better society, I joined others and founded the Believe Achieve and Inspire Leadership Program which won the 2010 Exemplary Leader Award and the 2009 Australian Muslim Best New Community Project. Furthermore, I also contributed to the National Action Plan during my term in the Prime Minister’s Muslim Reference Group.

Outside work, I love to gain new experiences through travels as exemplified by my recent 6 month backpacking world journey (ourwanderings.com). Although I am a Batchelor, I am married to my darling Hanan and expecting to be a proud father in April 2012.
